UPDATE: Our next pig harvest will be in mid-May; orders for whole pigs must be in by May 12th for that harvest.  Read about our purchase of IIano Seco pigs/gentics on our blog here

We are proud to offer our pastured-raised Duroc, Yorkshire and Landrace-cross pigs for sale. Since we only harvest pigs a few times a year, the quantity is very limited and will be sold on a first come, first served basis. The pigs eat a mixture of wheat, sunflower meal, rice bran, flaxseed meal and minerals when not roaming free and rooting around in our Eucalyptus tree groves on our ranch.

Once you place your order we will email you to give you an estimate on when our next pig harvest will be.

Whole Pig - Paid to Stemple Creek Ranch

The price for a whole pig is $6.75 per pound on the hanging weight. Hanging weights typically range from 180-240 pounds, resulting in a price range of $1,215-1,620 (does not include the cut and wrap fees). To purchase a whole pig, you'll be required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $600. Once the weight of the pig is determined, you'll receive an invoice for the remainder due.

Butcher Selection & Fees - Paid to the Butcher Shop at Pick Up

You have the option to choose between two butchers for processing: Willowside Meats in Santa Rosa, CA or Bud's Custom Meats in Penngrove, CA. The butcher shop will communicate with you directly regarding the cut and wrap process and when they expect to have the meat ready for you. They will always strive to meet your preferred timeline. The custom cut and wrap fees for both butchers are around $1.10 per pound and charged on the hanging weight. Depending on the exact hanging weight, cut and wrap charges will amount to approximately $198-$264, paid directly to the butcher shop.

Cost Per Meal

When purchasing whole pig, it is important to understand the value you get with each meal. On a 180-pound whole pig, the take-home weight after processing will be about 125 pounds (approximately 70% yield of the hanging weight). The total cost, including butcher fees, will be around $1,413, which is less than $11.30 per pound. Assuming each meal consists of 1/2 pound portion, the cost per meal is approximately $5.65 for 100% pasture-raised pork.
