Are your animals completely grass fed?

Our beef, veal and sheep are all 100% grass-fed and grass-finished. They do not eat any grain, soy, or other feed. Our pigs eat organic, non-gmo grains, as well as grubs and wild forage.

Most of our cows and pastures are USDA Organic, and we are proud to hold this certification. However, not all of our processing facilities (harvest and cut and wrap) are USDA Organic, which means some of our finished meat products cannot carry the organic label.

The beef we sell at Oliver's Markets in Sonoma County, Good Earth Natural Foods in Marin County, and some of our other wholesale resellers is labeled as USDA Organic because it is processed at USDA Organic-certified facilities. These products are clearly marked for easy identification.

Our chicken, sourced from Big Bluff Ranch, is also fully USDA Organic.

If you're looking for grocers that carry our USDA Organic beef, please contact us—we're happy to help!

The majority of our herd is black angus. A few of our bulls are crossbreeds.

We’ve been monitoring this situation closely. Currently, this issue affects dairy cows and birds, with no connection to beef cattle or the meat itself. While there was a case of bird flu detected in raw milk from a farm, it has not been found in pasteurized milk, so we feel confident that we’re in a good position but remain vigilant. Additionally, since our cattle are not raised in confinement, we believe the risk to our operation is minimal.

We vaccinate our cattle for their general health and disease prevention when they are 6-months old, but they do not receive a mRNA vaccine nor do we know of any cattle that are receiving any type of mRNA vaccinations.

Our current breed of pigs are 100% pasture raised Duroc, Yorkshire and Landracecross cross pigs.

Our pigs can eat as much non-GMO wheat, barley, and peas as they want, along with anything else they root up from the trees.
