We are proud to offer our pasture-raised Duroc, Yorkshire, and Landrace-cross hogs (aka pigs) for sale. Since we only harvest hogs a few times a year, the quantity is very limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Our hogs can eat as much non-GMO wheat, barley, and peas as they want, along with anything else they root up from the trees. They live their whole lives in a grove of Eucalyptus tress on our ranch in Tomales, Ca. 

Once you place your order, we will email you to give you an estimate on when our next hog harvest will be.

Half Hog - Paid to Stemple Creek Ranch

The price for a half hog is $6.75 per pound on the hanging weight. Hanging weights typically range from 100-140 pounds, resulting in a price range of $675-$945 (does not include the cut and wrap fees). Please note: this is an average weight range, and the final hanging weight may fall outside of this estimate.

To purchase a half hog, you'll be required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $400. Once the weight of the hog is determined, you'll receive an invoice for the remainder due.

Butcher Selection & Fees - Paid to the Butcher Shop at Pick Up

You have the option to choose between two butchers for processing: Willowside Meats in Santa Rosa, CA or Bud's Custom Meats in Penngrove, CA. The butcher shop will communicate with you directly regarding the cut and wrap process and when they expect to have the meat ready for you. They will always strive to meet your preferred timeline. The custom cut and wrap fees for both butchers are around $1.25 per pound and charged on the hanging weight. Depending on the exact hanging weight, cut and wrap charges will amount to approximately $125-$165, paid directly to the butcher shop.

Cost Per Meal

When purchasing a half hog, it is important to understand the value you get with each meal. On a 100-pound half hog, the take-home weight after processing will be about 70 pounds (approximately 70% yield of the hanging weight). The total cost, including butcher fees, will be around $785, which is less than $11.21 per pound. Assuming each meal consists of a 1/2-pound portion, the cost per meal is approximately $5.61 for 100% pasture-raised pork.
