Simple. Delicious. Local.

This is the holy trinity of our cooking philosophy at Stemple Creek Ranch, because when you start with the very best ingredients you need minimal effort to let the natural goodness shine through.

It's one of the reasons we're excited to announce a new product in partnership with our friends at Daily Driver. For those of you who have yet to discover this gem in the heart of the trendy Dogpatch neighborhood, let us get you up to speed.

Daily Driver (DD) is a San Francisco wood-fired organic bagel bakery, creamery and roastery founded by couples, David Jablons & Tamara Hicks (owners of Tomales Farmstead Creamery in our backyard in Tomales) and Hadley & David Kreitz. They opened their doors last year at the American Industrial Center (AIC) Building which has welcomed and supported makers in SF for over 30 years.

Hadley is at the helm of DD's butter, cream cheese and Jack cheese production made with 100% organic Jersey cow milk sourced from sixth generation Silva Family Dairy in Tomales, Marin County. When we tasted her seasonal Green Garlic Cultured Butter, we knew we had a match made in heaven!

Cultured butter is made by adding cultures to the cream (much like cheesemaking), and allowing it to ferment for 24 hours before being churned "European-style" by hand-paddle into butter. The process adds depth of flavor, richness and a creamy texture to the finished butter.

They state, “Much like the terroir of wine, butter has the ability to change in taste based on the geographical location and health of the pastureland, the type and breed of animal, and even the farmer’s practices." This is a truth we wholly embrace in raising our grass fed and finished livestock. The unique West Marin terroir of our ranch, along with regenerative agriculture practices that keep our forage lush, and land and animals healthy, definitely translates into the rich flavor of our meat.

Daily Driver's Green Garlic Cultured Butter is the perfect finishing touch on our beef ribeye steak! Simply grill to perfection (that's medium-rare), top with a hunk of infused butter, and let sit for 5 minutes before slicing. The flavor of the green garlic and rich, creamy butter is over-the-top delicious---and so, so simple. Just the way we like it.
