The Cabin (aka the Love Shack)

The Cabin (aka the Love Shack)

Tomales, California, United States

This rustic, cozy cabin at Stemple Creek is delightful. It is just a few miles from the ocean, has a private deck with BBQ, kitchenette, loft for sleeping, and views of the countryside that stretch for miles.  The Cabin is in the same vicinity on the ranch as our event barn, the Schoolhouse, and the Writer’s Cottage. Zia’s Farmhouse is about 1 mile away.

This cabin is a refurbished old bunkhouse with a full bathroom with a claw foot tub/shower, kitchenette with a small sink, 2 burner gas stove, and small refrigerator, a loft for sleeping (queen sized bed and twin bed), pull out couch downstairs (queen-sized bed - very comfortable), and a deck with a BBQ and outdoor seating.

The ranch is just a few miles from the town of Tomales, less than one mile Shoreline Highway (Highway 1), and a great home base for both Marin and Sonoma Counties.

Please note: No pets, no smoking, no open flames. This is a working ranch and we have an employee that lives close to this house. Please note that you will likely see our employees and guests on the ranch and will see and hear cars, trucks, and the operations of a working family ranch.

If you are looking to host an event or do commercial/professional photography, please contact us first. Renting this house does not allow you to have a party or event on site. Maximum occupancy for the Cabin is 4 guests at all times.

Absolutely best air bnb location ever. On a cattle ranch in the middle of emerald green hills as far as the way can see. Lovely private porch. Beautiful inside and out.

Lisa’s place was amazing, so beautiful and peaceful. The cabin was beautifully built and had everything we needed to feel comfortable.
Lisa was so nice ans welcoming and the place was very clean.
We wish we had stayed longer. What a great find!

Just a beautiful spot— and had everything we needed, with very comfortable beds (even the pullout couch!). It may look rustic, but you won’t be roughing it! Very peaceful watching and listening to the sheep with a glass of wine in the deck in the evening. Had a delicious dinner at Nick’s Cove a short drive away.

Such a beautiful experience, early morning coffee watching sheep trickle over the hill, hawks abound and quiet as can be. The cabin itself had everything we need and was comforting and cozy. The location is a quick drive to adventure or great eats. It’s a great place to get away with the kids and let them see where their food comes from. Highly recommend.
