You will get approximately 40 pounds of frozen lamb. Each cut will be individually wrapped in butcher paper and labeled with what is inside. If you want your lamb to be vacuum sealed in cryovac bags instead of wrapped in paper, you can make that request to Bud's Custom Meats for an extra charge. Examples of the types of cuts you will receive are: leg of lamb, small loin chops, rib chops (can be kept whole for a rack of lamb), shoulder blade chops, shanks, stew meat, and ground lamb.

This item is for pickup at Bud's Custom Meats. If you are looking for a whole lamb to be shipped to your doorstep, we have that option as well!


Ordering Information

We harvest our 100% grass-fed lambs year around.

When you place your order, you can either pay in full, or pay a $100 deposit to secure a spot on our waiting list.

If you think or know that your animal will be harvested within 1 month of placing your order, please pay in full. Payment in full is required before we will harvest your lamb for you.

We will communicate with you directly about when you want to pick up your meat, and when we will be able to have the meat ready for you. We will always do our best to meet your preferred timeline, but please keep in mind that since our lambs only eat grass we are at the mercy of mother nature.

We will let you know when we are ready to harvest your animal.

Once it is harvested, lamb takes about 2 weeks before the meat is ready to be picked up at the butcher shop.

Most of our lambs will be processed at Bud’s Custom Meats in Penngrove. If you order a whole animal and wish to make special arrangements to use another butcher shop, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Bud’s Custom Meats will contact you directly about the cut and wrap of your meat.

You will pick up your cut and wrapped meat at Bud’s Custom Meats and pay them directly for the cut and wrap. If you can’t come pick up your meat, please select the option to ship a half or whole lamb to your doorstep.

A cut and wrapped whole lamb will be about 40-45 pounds. The cut and wrap charges that you pay directly to Bud's Custom Meats will cost around $90. Generally, once you pay for the meat and the cut and wrap, you'll be paying between $9.75 and $11.00 per pound.
